This recipe is for use with a cookie press. Wonderfully soft and more flavorful than the average spritz cookie.Ingredients | Lemon Snow Cone Strain1 cup butter flavored shortening1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened1 cup white sugar1 egg yolk1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 teaspoon orange zest2 ½ cups all-purpose flour½ teaspoon salt¼ teaspoon ground cinnamonDirectionsPreheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C ).In a medium bowl, cream together shortening, cream cheese, and sugar. Beat in egg yolk, vanilla, and orange zest. Continue beating until light and fluffy. Gradually stir in flour, salt, and cinnamon. Fill the cookie press, and form cookies on ungreased cookie sheet.Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet, and cool on wire racks.VARIATIONS: 1. Add 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind and 1 teaspoon lemon extract in place of vanilla and orange rind. 2. Omit vanilla extract and add 1 teaspoon almond extract, anise extract, or rum extract. 3.
